The Belvedere Tiburon Library is a beloved community hub: a place for information, a center for technology access, and host to more than 800 community programs each year.
Contributions to the Foundation allow the Library to keep events for children, families, and seniors ongoing. Plan to join us at our annual events and get-togethers!
This eagerly-awaited event for the whole community is held every year in the fall at Blackie’s pasture. It’s an old-fashioned country fair with pony rides, relay races, toy tractor rides, carnival games, jumpies, a climbing wall, a petting zoo as well as entertainment and food. It a family event with something for kids of all ages to enjoy.
Looking for new art for your home or office? Do you have paintings, prints, framed posters and fine art books you are ready to let someone else enjoy? Donate your gently used art and/or buy something ‘new’ at the ever popular, biennial Belvedere-Tiburon Library’s silent art auction
This annual event features a book talk by Elaine Petrocelli, owner of the Book Passage bookstores. After an elegant lunch in the Corinthian Yacht Club dining room, Elaine highlights the best books of the year and provides anecdotes and commentary about the authors, many of whom she knows personally, and the books, all of which she has read.
Each year, Bookmarks’ members, friends, and local designers create whimsical, dramatic and playful wreaths as a benefit for the Library. The wreaths are bid on during a two-week silent auction period in November and December. The auction closes with a celebration.
Each Year, the Bookmarks host a Teddy Bear Tea for young children and their families in the Library’s Founders’ Room. Piping hot cocoa, savory eats and festive treats greet little guests at their beautifully decorated tables. Wonderful stories read by the children’s librarian, Alicia Bell, complete the day.
As the Foundation looks to the future we'll be posting new events to our annual calendar here. Film Screenings & Pop-Up Events are but a few of those currently in development to engage the library community in current and future trends of education and learning.
Past events have included "She Loves Me" Live Streamed from Broadway, Advanced screening of "The Test" and the Art of Thinking" Documentary exploring the SAT Test, and much more!
The Library’s first two Pop Up events were so successful and so much fun that we’re doing it again. Expand your horizons and be seduced by new ideas from cutting-edge speakers on a variety of subjects. It’s an experience you won’t forget.
