The Belvedere Tiburon Library is a beloved community hub: a place for information, a center for technology access, and host to more than 800 community programs each year.
Contributions to the Foundation allow the Library to keep events for children, families, and seniors ongoing. Plan to join us at our annual events and get-togethers!
Wreath Silent Auction
Each year, Bookmarks’ members, friends, and local designers create whimsical, dramatic and playful wreaths as a benefit for the Library. The wreaths are bid on during a two-week silent auction period in November and December. The auction closes with a celebration.
Shop for a Cause
Come shop for the holidays, mention the Belvedere Tiburon Library and 15% of your purchases will be donated to the Library Foundation.
Teddy Bear Tea
Each Year, the Bookmarks host a Teddy Bear Tea for young children and their families in the Library’s Founders’ Room. Piping hot cocoa, savory eats, and festive treats greet little guests at their beautifully decorated tables. Wonderful stories read by the children’s librarian, Alicia Bell, complete the day.

Blackie’s Hay Day
This eagerly-awaited event for the whole community is held in the fall at Blackie’s pasture. It’s an old-fashioned country fair with pony rides, relay races, toy tractor rides, carnival games, jumpies, a climbing wall, a petting zoo as well as entertainment and food. It a family event with something for kids of all ages to enjoy. The Next Blackie's Hay Day will be in May of 2020.
Book Passage Literary Presentation
This annual event features a book talk by Elaine Petrocelli, owner of the Book Passage bookstores. After an elegant lunch in the Corinthian Yacht Club dining room, Elaine highlights the best books of the year and provides anecdotes and commentary about the authors, many of whom she knows personally, and the books, all of which she has read.
Gently Used Art Auction
Looking for new art for your home or office? Do you have paintings, prints, framed posters and fine art books you are ready to let someone else enjoy? Donate your gently used art and/or buy something ‘new’ at the ever-popular Belvedere Tiburon Library’s silent art auction. The next auction will be held after construction of the expanded library is complete.
